Fast Start to the 2012 Season
It has been a fast and successful few weeks for the Kenda/Felt Team. The riders are in love with their team-issued products and the results are flowing. Here is a recap of some of the highlights:
We had a very fast weekend at the second stop of the Pro XCT series held at Bonelli Park in San Dimas, California. When the racing was done, Colin Cares had a 2nd place finish in the XC and 2nd in the Super-D. Drew Edsall was just behind Colin in the Super-D, finishing 3rd. Sage Wilderman was 4th in the Super-D.
As a result of Colin’s strong racing, he has taken over the lead in the Pro XCT series and the team is second in team standings. The Pro XCT resumes in June in Colorado Springs. We will be there in force. There’s more of the standing on cyclingnews.com
This past weekend in St. George, Utah, Amanda Carey and Drew Edsall started up their distance campaigns at the True Grit Epic. Amanda headed out for 100 miles, Drew for 50. Both notched the win. Amanda will be focusing on the National Ultra Endurance (NUE) series this year and Drew will be hitting a few more long events, including some stage racing and some 100-milers.
We will be together for the Sea Otter Classic in Monterey, California, in mid-April. We look forward to seeing many of you there. The following weekend we head to Prescott, Arizona, for the Whiskey Offroad. We show up with 2010 champ Andy Schultz, 2011 runner-up Colin Cares and Whiskey novice Drew Edsall. We are eager to show our team strength in those races.
Thank you for your support of the Kenda/Felt Team. We are excited to represent you and we are off to a great start!
